Setting Up mIRC to work with SpoonProxy
The best way to setup mIRC with SpoonProxy is to use a freeware application called SocksCap which can be downloaded from
http://www.socks.nec.com.Download SocksCap and install it on your client machine. In the SocksCap setup below as shown in the following screen capture, select the Socks5 Protocol and replace 192.68.0.4 with the internal IP of the machine you are running SpoonProxy on.
Also, select the radio button for "Resolve all names Remotely."

From the main SocksCap control window, add your applications the same way you would created a Windows shortcut as in the following two screen captures:

When you have setup mIRC as a new application to run "socksified" under SocksCap through SpoonProxy you no longer need to worry about setting anything on the firewall tab of mIRC. Simply leave those settings alone, i.e. do not select connect through firewall or configure any settings.
Click on Run Socksified and you should be able to IRC normally, including DCC chat and transfers.
