Setting
up AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) to work with SpoonProxy Use
the following screenshot as an example to setup AIM. To
access the Connection Menu in AIM go to My Aim >> Edit Options >> Edit Preferences.
Hilight "Sign On/Off" and click the "Connection" button. Or
right click on your AIM icon in your system tray and select "Preferences."
Just check the box saying "Connect using proxy" and replace Host with
the internal IP or computer name of the machine you're running SpoonProxy. AOL
Instant Messenger should then function transparently from the client machine. 
Remember,
this setup uses SOCKS support so you will need to be using an un-expired 30 day
trial of SpoonProxy or the registered version to make it work. |
